Workouts with Addie

Addie Ungaretti has been teaching Pilates since 2008 and loves helping people feel stronger and happier in their own bodies. While in graduate school, she began teaching barre, yoga, and mat pilates on the side. She realized that she wanted to pursue Pilates full-time and completed her 700 hour training at Quantum Pilates in Washington, DC. and worked for Mariska at Fuse Pilates as Senior Instructor and teacher trainer. To deepen her Pilates education she has taken many specialized workshops and trainings, such as Pilates for Neurological Conditions, Pre and Postnatal Pilates, and Pilates for Special Injuries. She is a certified Pilates Suspension Method instructor and loves combining the Fuse Ladder with the TRX straps. She has also studied under Cara Reeser and Jeremy Lavadure to learn more about adapting Pilates exercises for all populations.

Addie housed the very first Fuse Ladder prototype in her garage, where she and Mariska worked on class ideas through the broiling heat of a D.C. summer. Addie is thrilled to now be teaching Fuse Ladder classes online. Her classes are high energy with lots of talking and fun music. She loves using the Fuse Ladder for HIIT style workouts and getting the heart rate up. Expect some non-traditional Pilates movements for strengthening and lengthening.

Addie began teaching online in May 2020 and has not looked back since. She created fuzzpanther fitness which has several different styles of classes on Zoom. She currently lives with her husband and two daughters in Fairfax, Virginia just outside Washington, DC. When not teaching, she is hoping that her kids don't find her while she is finishing her new favorite book.

  • Addie 3 - Have a Seat

    In this 30-minute class, Addie takes you through some heat building cardio sequences and strengthening sets to work you out head to toes (but especially glutes).

  • Addie 4 - Flex & Twist

    Cardio focused workout for the abs, glutes, and obliques with climbing, jumping, and a lot of sweat. You'll need the roll down bar, handles, long yellow springs, and the backboard.

  • Addie 5 - HIIT 1

    High Intensity Interval Training blends short periods of intense strength or cardio work with quick breaks. You'll need the long yellow springs and your roll down bar. If you are more comfortable wearing shoes, go ahead and grab yours.

  • Addie 6 - HIIT 2

    Addie uses the springs like "battle ropes" at one point during this workout. Be careful to keep the arcs long and reduce how much pulling on the springs you're doing. The yellow springs will be easier and more flexible than the purple springs. They should feel smooth and loose in their movement.

  • Addie 7 - Quick and Slow

    Addie is bringing the burn - slow and fast - in this class that alternates between quick movements and more methodical ones. It will work full body.

    Grab the springs and roll down bar, as well as the backboard.

  • Addie 8 - Frogs

    Frogs are a favorite shape in Pilates that target inner and outer thighs, hip flexors, glutes, and hamstrings. Addie dedicates an entire class to them and throws in a lot of cardio bursts to get your heart rate up.

  • Addie 9 - Straps, Springs, Full Body

    Grab your backboard, connector strap (or you can just connect the two loops on the foot straps), and the circus straps for this full body class.

    The overall focus here is gait, but Addie does some really great exercises to get the feet and ankles moving, as well as working the legs, core, and upper body.
